We celebrated architecture across our incredible city on 14 June, in the Manchester Architects Awards 2017.
With awards across 14 categories – from commercial to community, and built to unbuilt – we presented awards to architects of all levels of experience. The standard of entries was exceptionally high. Judging was conducted independently by legendary architect, Richard Murphy, who joined us on the night and gave a fascinating and suitably provocative talk. Here’s the award booklet from the night, in which you can see nominees and winners across every category:
Testament to the quality of our community, we had over 350 attendees on the night – making it our most successful event ever. Our compère for the evening was the indefatigable Jonathan Schofield – writer, tour guide and Manchester Confidential editor-at-large. Photos by Suzy Wimbourne are on our Facebook page – please log-in and tag at will:
We are working on a short film of the Awards ceremony, which we will unveil in our e-newsletter in the coming weeks.
Huge thanks to everyone who made the MA Awards 2017 such a roaring success – including the staff of 53two, our sponsors, nominees and winners, judge and presenters, and of course all of our guests. Now just make sure you don’t miss out on a place at our annual dinner on 27 October.
