Future Manchester Symposium
June 12: 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm
The event will comprise a series of presentations that will address a number of projects and issues relating to culture, transportation, living and working in the city of Manchester.
Carol Patterson from OMA will present the Factory Project – a £110 million arts centre that will be built on the site of the former Granada TV Studios in Manchester’s St John’s neighborhood. The scheme will be Dutch firm OMA’s first major UK project.
Jon Matthews from 5Plus will then talk about various residential projects in the city, and Peter Jenkins from BDP will present the Ordsall Chord project and discuss how it – and other transport projects – will transform Manchester.
Finally, David Green and Simon Critchley will also present Simpson Haugh and Partners workplace projects amongst others, describing how they will contribute to the City’s skyline.
The evening will conclude with a cross-industry panel discussion chaired by Stephen Hodder, of Hodder + Partners. This open debate will look to delve into issues that will impact upon the future of Manchester.
The event will take place at 53Two, Manchester’s newest performance and exhibition venue, located at the old Bauer and Millett showroom.
A complimentary bar and food will be provided with thanks to our supporters.
